Fall now the dawn, fall the day
Upon my dreams, like wolves that gaunt and grey
And hungry, follow at the heels of sleep
And prey upon the midnight sheep.

Walk down the wind, walk with me
Into a night of moonlight on a sea;
Where, setting sail, my heart will with her go
To places that I do not know.

Now rise the light, I'll be gone,
Gone with the geese that score across the sun
Their drifting figures, west to where she lies,
With dreams still waiting in her eyes.
