I HAVE BEEN WRITING POETRY FOR SOME TIME, roughly since my early to mid-twenties. My productivity has been uneven: as far as quality is concerned I've learned as I've gone along, so I'm not always happy with the results of things when I come back and re-read them; as far as quantity is concerned, I don't write all the time - it comes in sporadic bursts, and I've written little or nothing for the past few years
I've recognised the reasons for that long hiatus, and one of the reasons for putting this website up is that going through my poems and selecting the good ones will hopefully help to get me started again.
Where I feel the need, I'll make some notes on what the poem is about, or why I wrote it. I think poems should stand alone where possible, so the notes will be on separate links, reachable from the individual poems.
